This ‘Reality’ Show May Have Too Much ‘Juice’
I was glad to see the prominence that the Business section gave to Greg Braxton’s story “O.J. Simpson May Be TV’s Newest ‘Reality’ Program” (April 24).
In case my comment on that venture, quoted in part in the piece, left anyone unclear where I stood, here’s the full thought:
What’s next -- televised lynchings? Snuff films? Prime-time XXX porno? The obscure Texas company that’s floating this proposal has found a way to get itself some national attention, which no doubt will help its brand’s name recognition. Unfortunately, even with this O.J. stunt, I’m afraid that the “reality” TV genre still hasn’t gone as low as it can go.
