Fast-Moving Flames Destroy Expensive Home
From Times Staff Reports
A fast-moving fire destroyed a large home in an expensive Villa Park neighborhood early Saturday, fire officials said.
Nobody was home when the fire broke out just before 4 a.m.
When firefighters arrived, the 3,000-square-foot, single-story house in the 18000 block of Santiago Boulevard was engulfed in flames, said Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Stephen Miller.
Damage is estimated at close to $1 million, he said.
