United Lowers Some Business Fares

United Airlines reduced fares for business customers by as much as 40% on all U.S. flights through Chicago and Denver, its biggest bases, in an effort to revive corporate travel. Most rivals matched the cuts.
The world’s second-largest carrier’s new fares will affect about 15,000 routes, JP Morgan analyst Jamie Baker said.
Illinois-based UAL Corp. stock rose 5 cents, to $1.35, on the New York Stock Exchange.
