Chateau Marmont Embezzler Pleads Guilty

An accountant for the Chateau Marmont pleaded guilty Wednesday to embezzling nearly $14 million from the hotel over six years, authorities said.
Kelly Timothy Ebert, 39, of Westlake Village faces 20 years in prison when he is sentenced Aug. 11, said Assistant U.S. Atty. Gregory Weingart. Ebert was hired as the hotel’s controller in 1993, according to prosecutors.
