28 Die When German Tourist Bus Crashes

A double-decker bus crash outside Lyon killed at least 28 people and injured 46, most of them German pensioners who had won their trip in a lottery, officials said.
It took about 250 firefighters and rescue workers several hours to free the injured and remove bodies from the mangled metal. The bus, carrying 74 passengers bound to the Costa Brava in Spain, struck an embankment and overturned in wet conditions, local officials said.
