Remembering Bobby Hatfield
Righteous Brothers singer Bobby Hatfield, who died Wednesday at 63, will be memorialized at a public service today at 1 p.m. in Irvine. The service will be held at Mariner’s Church, 5001 Newport Coast Drive.
Hatfield, the high-voiced partner of baritone Bill Medley in the Orange County duo, apparently suffered a heart attack at his hotel shortly before the pair were to perform in Kalamazoo, Mich.
Hatfield’s family is requesting that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Lupus International, the group for which he often gave benefit performances because his wife, Linda, has the disease.
