BOYS’ BASKETBALL
* Dont’e Bell, Pasadena Marshall: Made six of six free throws in the last two minutes to help the Eagles beat Pasadena Maranatha, 74-69, in a Delphic League game at Marshall.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
* Lindsey Pluimer, San Clemente: Had 30 points and 12 rebounds for the Tritons (18-4) in a 70-50 nonleague victory over Chino Hills Ayala.
* Judith Smith, Long Beach Poly: Made four three-pointers and finished with 20 points, but the Jackrabbits (21-2), ranked No. 2 in the state, fell to No. 3 Piedmont, 62-45, in an intersectional game at Piedmont.
GIRLS’ WATER POLO
* Priscilla Orozco, Montebello: Scored three goals to help the Oilers (20-4) rebound from a 5-2 deficit and beat defending tournament champion Upland, 8-6, in the title game of the La Verne Bonita/Whittier tournament.
