Texas Tech Is Upset

Maria Villarroel scored 20 points to lead Oklahoma to a 68-62 victory Tuesday night over seventh-ranked Texas Tech at Lubbock, Texas, ending the Red Raiders’ 17-game home winning streak.
Oklahoma, which improved to 15-6 overall and 5-5 in the Big 12 Conference, seized control in the second half by scoring 12 straight points -- holding Texas Tech scoreless for more than 6:30 -- to take a 50-38 lead with 6:08 left. Dionnah Jackson had 19 points for Oklahoma.
Caton Hill scored five points during the run for the Sooners, and Jackson had four. Britney Brown capped the surge by connecting on a three-point basket that provided the Sooners with a 12-point lead.

No. 5 Purdue 90, Iowa 79 -- Shereka Wright scored 21 of her season-high 34 points in the second half and freshman Katie Gearlds had a career-best 32 to lead the Boilermakers (20-2, 10-1) over the Hawkeyes (12-9, 6-4) in a Big Ten Conference game at Iowa City, Iowa.

West Virginia 69, No. 21 Virginia Tech 66 -- Kate Bulger scored 23 points and the Mountaineers (18-5, 9-2) used a late 19-5 run to defeat the Hokies (17-5, 6-5) in a Big East Conference game at Morgantown, W.Va., for their ninth straight victory.

No. 23 Southwest Missouri State 65, Bradley 45 -- Kari Koch scored 15 points for the Bears (20-1, 11-0), who held the Braves (4-15, 2-9) without a field goal for about 8 1/2 minutes to win the Missouri Valley Conference game at Springfield, Mo.
