Nixon Library to Go More by the Book

Re “A Real Nixon Library,” editorial, Feb. 7: As a lifelong Democrat, I am no great admirer of Richard Nixon. But I have come to know many of the staff at the Nixon Library & Birthplace, and I do admire them -- their loyalty, their hard work, their tenacity in keeping the library open with no public funds, even to renting the grounds for weddings and other important events. They are a class act, unlike your editorial, which was unworthy of a great newspaper. Lose the cuteness.

It is noteworthy that the Nixon Library is finally going to show an honest portrayal of Watergate (presently depicted as something caused by left-wing politicians and unethical journalists). That kind of fantasy is similar to saying that the Holocaust never happened.
