Bishop Accused of Molestation Resigns

Roman Catholic Bishop Thomas Dupre, who led a diocese of about 260,000 Catholics, resigned, citing health problems. The move coincided with a newspaper’s reported allegations that he had molested two boys.
The Republican newspaper in Springfield quoted a woman as saying her son and another boy were sexually abused by Dupre when he was a parish priest in the 1970s.
