Building Rename Urged for 2 Former Lawmakers
A resolution to rename the Van Nuys State Building for former state Assembly Speakers Robert Moretti and Robert Hertzberg was introduced Wednesday by Assemblyman Lloyd E. Levine (D-Van Nuys).
The building would honor Moretti, the late Democratic assemblyman who represented Van Nuys from 1964 to 1974, and Hertzberg, of Sherman Oaks, a Democratic assemblyman from 1996 to 2002.
If approved, the “Moretti-Hertzberg State Building” could be renamed by fall, said Stuart Waldman, Levine’s chief of staff.
