2 Men Wounded in Drive-By Near School
From Times Staff Reports
Two men were hospitalized Thursday after a drive-by shooting across the street from Van Nuys High School.
The incident occurred at 4:40 p.m. at the corner of Kittridge Street and Cedros Avenue while a number of students were still in the neighborhood. The victims, who were not believed to be students, were expected to survive, police said.
Investigators had no suspects Thursday evening, though LAPD Capt. Michael Moriarty said the shooting was thought to be gang-related.
