Police Rule Out Suspect in Killings
From Times Staff Reports
San Bernardino County sheriff’s authorities said Thursday that they have ruled out a suspect in a Yucca Valley triple slaying, but that they were close to making an arrest.
A sheriff’s spokesman said interviews with Mark Fitzwater, 37, arrested hours after the slayings, convinced detectives that he did not commit the crimes.
Patty Jo Crevoisier, 49, William John Landers, 43, and an unidentified 36-year-old male were found dead inside a home Monday night.
