Motorcyclist Is Killed in Crash
A motorcyclist died Friday after hitting a pickup that had turned in front of him at a Fountain Valley intersection, police said.
Guy A. Martinez Jr., 24, of La Puente was declared dead at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center shortly after the 5 p.m. accident at El Manzano Avenue and Ward Street.
Police said that Martinez was northbound on Ward Street when he hit the pickup turning left from westbound El Manzano Avenue. It was unclear which of the vehicles had the right of way, police said. The driver of the pickup was treated for minor injuries.
No arrests were made or citations issued, and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
