Pinky Tries to Pick Up Where She Left Off
Pinky Powder Puff, who won two of three as a 2-year-old, will make her first start of the year in tonight’s ninth race, a $13,150 allowance at 300 yards.
Owned by Vinewood Farms and trained by Christopher O’Dell, the 3-year-old daughter of Corona Cartel was fourth in her debut, then rattled off two victories in a row, the latest coming last Aug. 16. Cody Jensen will ride Pinky Powder Puff, who will leave from post five in the field of eight.
The card also features a $10,850 allowance for 2-year-olds at 350 yards. Feel The Roar, an impressive maiden winner in his third race, will try for a repeat under jockey Ramon Sanchez against Dalark, Broke But Free, Miss Coronacorona, This Dashing Chic, Walk With Rhythm and Royaltys Prince. The race is the eighth on the program.

Shot in the dark: Be Happy Bryan debuts for trainer Jaime Gomez in the sixth.
