Garden Grove Man, Hit Crossing Street, Dies

A Garden Grove man was killed early Saturday after a driver struck him in a crosswalk and sped off, police said.
Moses Aparicio, 40, was crossing at Chapman Avenue and Dale Street about 3 a.m. when a car, described as a blue import, hit him, police said. Aparicio was pronounced dead at UCI Medical Center in Orange.
Witnesses said two men were in the vehicle, but no other details were available, police said.
