‘Fantasy Could Turn Victory Into Reality
Br Quick Fantasy, who is perfect in two starts, heads a field of seven 2-year-olds in tonight’s $13,000 Garden Grove Handicap at 350 yards.
Owned by Manuel Morales and trained by Jose Antonio Flores, the Royal Quick Dash filly beat $16,000 maiden claimers in her debut June 3, then defeated a tough allowance field by a nose a little more than three weeks later.
Ridden by Hector Cuevas and the now-retired Joe Badilla Jr. in her first two outings, Br Quick Fantasy will have a new jockey tonight in Eddie Garcia.
The one to beat is Secret Separation, a 2-year-old Separatist filly trained by Paul Jones for the Vessels Stallion Farm LLC.
George Beduino, Touchoftheblues Gvl, Fiscally Sound, A Sisstar and Macs Gonzo complete the field.
The picks: 1. Reds Foxy Chick. 2. Nefertiri. 3. Mr Corona Cash. 4. Splash For Glory. 5. Corona Rules. 6. Mucho Mocho. 7. Cook Hot. 8. Answered Thoughts. 9. Secret Separation. 10. Sissy Road.
Four! Reds Foxy Chick, Red E Torumble and Garfields Dash in the first, Nefertiri and Seasoned Pro in the second, Mr Corona Cash and Jushart in the third and Splash For Glory and Riggsmarolle in the fourth.
Shots in the dark: Cammie Cousteau debuts for trainer Donna McArthur in the fifth. Procede should improve with a race under his belt in the sixth.
