Restaurant shootings -- A news brief in Thursday’s California section about multiple shootings outside a Northridge restaurant on March 18 misspelled the last name of victim Dominique Wade as Wadev. Wade was killed in the incident, which also left three people wounded. The brief also may have implied that a police officer fired into the crowd. In fact, police said an officer shot and wounded a man after the man fired several rounds from a handgun into the crowd.
An argument in the El Torito Mexican restaurant last Thursday escalated into a melee in the parking lot, police said.
Dominique Wadev, 18, of Los Angeles was fatally shot; three others were wounded, one of them by a police officer after allegedly firing on the crowd.
