Newport Probes Altered Grades

Newport Beach police are investigating whether students hacked into Corona del Mar High School’s computers and altered grades, officials said Friday.
Grades for seven students were improved illicitly, Sgt. Steve Shulman said. No arrests had been made.
Officials at Newport-Mesa Unified School District believe the breach was limited to a small group of high school students, police said, but officials were reviewing all student records.
