Rebels Attack Bus, Killing 13 People

Maoist rebels threw bombs and shot at a bus in northeastern Nepal, killing six soldiers, six civilians and a policeman and injuring 20, police said.
The attack occurred near Mainapokhari village, about 100 miles northeast of the capital, Katmandu.
Soldiers and policemen had caught a lift on the civilian bus to investigate reports of rebels attacking civilians at a different village and blocking roads with logs.
