* Bob Osher has been named chief operating officer of Sony Corp.’s Columbia Pictures Motion Picture Group, the firm said. Osher had been co-president of production for Walt Disney Co.’s Miramax Films.

* Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc., the movie studio controlled by billionaire Kirk Kerkorian, paid shareholders a one-time dividend of $8 a share. The payment was about $1.89 billion, MGM said.

* Frank Savage, 65, a former director of Enron Corp., resigned from the board of Qualcomm Inc., the company said. Qualcomm gave no reason for Savage’s departure.
