Where’s Sports?

I understand the economics of the newspaper industry, so I’m not complaining that my holiday newspaper weighs more than most compact cars. What irks me is that it takes less time to cook a 20-pound turkey than to find your Thanksgiving Day sports page.

Will someone please tell the Tribune folks that you can’t mess with the Sports section? Lately, they have cut back on certain columns and features and now, on Thanksgiving, they hide the award-winning publication behind the business section on one of the slowest business days of the year. I’m sure Jim Murray and Allan Malamud are looking down from the heavens and wondering what’s next.
