Mary-Louise Parker, who won for outstanding supporting actress in a miniseries for “Angels in America,” said she wasn’t upset about extending Angela Lansbury’s Emmy losing streak. Lansbury -- the Susan Lucci of the prime-time Emmys -- had been nominated for her 16th time: as outstanding supporting actress in a movie or miniseries, this time, for “The Blackwater Lightship.”

“God bless Angela Lansbury,” Parker said. “I wouldn’t have been bitter if she had won -- but I wasn’t exactly rooting for her.” Meryl Streep also took a moment to toot her own horn. She won the Emmy for outstanding actress in a miniseries for “Angels in America.” “There are some days when I, myself, think I’m overrated,” Streep said, “but not today.”
