Getting feathered friends in focus
Thank you for your enlightening story [“Quiet the Buzz Saws and Await the First Sweet Songs of the Season,” Feb. 10] on the little birds we have nesting under our bedroom window. My husband and I had named them the “sofa birds,” as they have always nicked nesting material from an old sofa on the balcony.
They have been a delight to hear as well as watch through the glass as they sneak in and out of that sock-shaped nest. We have several finches and a lovebird that are fascinated by their nest cleaning.
