Big Three CEOs to Meet With Bush, Sources Say

The chief executives of General Motors Corp., Ford Motor Co. and DaimlerChrysler’s Chrysler unit will meet with President Bush next month, a Ford spokesman said.

Plans for the meeting were the result of “an ongoing, constructive dialogue with the White House,” said Ford’s Josh Gottheimer.

A second person familiar with preparations for the meeting, who asked not to be named, said it would be held May 18 and would focus on alternative fuels, high pension and healthcare costs and automakers’ concerns about foreign exchange rates.
