New host: John O’Hurley, who played J. Peterman on “Seinfeld” and then competed on “Dancing With the Stars,” will replace Richard Karn as host of “Family Feud” when the syndicated TV game show begins its new season Sept. 11.

Honors: Playwright Neil Simon, author of Broadway fare including “Barefoot in the Park” and “Brighton Beach Memoirs,” will receive this year’s Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize as a uniquely American humorist. Simon will be honored at a ceremony on Oct. 15.
