Big West Conference

Cal State Fullerton (8-5, 2-2) at UC Riverside (2-12, 2-2), 4 p.m. -- Fullerton split its road games against Northridge and Pacific last weekend and has won its last three against Riverside. But the Highlanders, despite a loss at Northridge on Monday, made the rest of the Big West take notice by defeating defending champion Pacific on the road last Saturday.

West Coast Conference

Loyola Marymount (5-11, 2-0) at Portland (7-9, 1-1), 7 p.m. -- The Lions are off to their first 2-0 conference start in 16 seasons after home victories against San Diego and San Francisco. The Pilots are 6-4 in their last 10 games and have won their last five at home.

Pepperdine (5-9, 1-1) at No. 6 Gonzaga (12-3, 2-0), 8:30 p.m., ESPNU -- After a 1-6 start, the Waves are 4-3. The defending conference champion Bulldogs, who defeated Santa Clara on Monday, are led by Adam Morrison, who is averaging 28 points a game, best in the nation.

WOMEN

Pacific 10 Conference

UCLA (9-7, 4-3) at Washington State (6-9, 0-6), 1 p.m. -- The Bruins, who were pummeled, 96-75, by Washington on Thursday, take on the hungriest team in the Pac-10. The Cougars have lost seven in a row and are the only winless team in conference play. UCLA got season highs from Nikki Blue (24 points) and Lindsey Pluimer (19) against the Huskies, but Noelle Quinn had a season-low five.

USC (10-5, 5-2) at Washington (12-3, 5-1), 1 p.m. -- The Trojans got their first conference road victory, 81-60, at Washington State on Thursday. Washington had five players in double figures against UCLA and has won seven of its last eight games. Washington is also 8-0 at home and has won its last 12 home games dating to last season.
