GOP Shows Support for Harris’ Senate Bid

If there was any doubt that Florida’s top Republican leaders weren’t behind Katherine Harris’ run for U.S. Senate, those leaders did their best to dispel it.
At the state GOP’s quarterly meeting in Lake Buena Vista, Gov. Jeb Bush said he would campaign for Harris and encouraged a room of Republican activists to do the same. At a separate rally, Lt. Gov. Toni Jennings gave strong praise to Harris and told her, “Go, run and win.”
In August, Harris announced her bid to challenge incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson.
