Former President Gerald R. Ford remained hospitalized with pneumonia at Eisenhower Medical Center, his spokeswoman said Monday.
Ford, 92, has been in the hospital since Jan. 14, his second stay since mid-December. He was originally scheduled to return home Thursday.
The 38th president’s condition “is continuing to improve,” Penny Circle, Ford’s chief of staff, said in a statement Monday. “He’s getting out of bed, conversing and eating well.”
But, she said, “He’s not quite ready for release.”
