Daniel Pearl film: Angelina Jolie will star as Mariane Pearl in a film adaptation of her book, “A Mighty Heart: The Brave Life and Death of My Husband Danny Pearl,” about the Wall Street Journal reporter who was kidnapped and murdered in Pakistan. Brad Pitt will serve as a producer of the film, to be directed by Michael Winterbottom, but there was no word Thursday on who would portray Daniel Pearl.
