Oneida Shareholders Seek to Buy Company

Oneida, a 126-year-old maker of flatware, china and glassware that filed for bankruptcy protection in March, said that two of its shareholders wanted to buy the company.
Oneida wasn’t seeking to sell itself and said the proposal from DE Shaw Laminar Portfolios and Xerion Capital Partners was unsolicited.
