Police Kill Man After Chasing His Car 5 Miles

Police shot and killed a man after a five-mile car chase that ended in a fight with an officer, authorities said.
San Pablo police were trying to stop a car Monday for reckless driving when the vehicle sped off. The vehicle crashed, and an occupant ran.
The officer caught the man, and the two struggled. The officer shot the man during the fight, said Richmond Police Lt. Enos Johnson.
Neither the dead man nor the officer was identified.
