That Clean-Cut Crowd

I attended North Hollywood High School from 1946 to 1948. The majority of the outstanding male student leaders wore Levi’s jeans. Contrary to the statement “You would expect to see that on the tough guy, the greaser, the bad boy” (“What We Wore,” Oct. 22), these young men were well-groomed, clean-cut boys who were a credit to their families, school and community.
