Intel unveils quad-core chips for non-PC use
From Bloomberg News
Intel Corp. introduced its first chips for use outside of servers and personal computers that have four built-in processors.
The new products, which went on sale immediately, are designed for the embedded market. That means they’ll be installed in telecommunications gear, cars, office equipment and other devices.
The quad-core chips are the latest in the Santa Clara, Calif.-based company’s Xeon line.
