Tough injury news for Blue Jays’ Ryan, Glaus
Toronto Blue Jays closer B.J. Ryan will be sidelined four to six weeks because of an elbow sprain and All-Star third baseman Troy Glaus will be put on the disabled list today.
Left fielder Reed Johnson also opted for surgery to repair the herniated disk in his lower back. Johnson, who was put on the disabled list Friday, will have the procedure done today and will be out until July.
The Blue Jays hoped to have Glaus, batting .333 with two home runs, back in the lineup today when they open a three-game series with the Boston Red Sox.
