Court reinstates ousted lawmakers

Ecuador’s top court reinstated 50 opposition lawmakers who were expelled from Congress last month.
The 50 legislators had been among 57 forced out last month by an electoral court, which said they violated election law by trying to block a referendum to set up a special assembly to rewrite the constitution.
Last week, more than 80% of voters backed a referendum supported by President Rafael Correa to call the assembly.
