A sexual molestation case against the coach of a once-prominent girls basketball team ended Friday in a mistrial, when the jury deadlocked on 15 of the 16 charges.
Frankie “Rexx” Kilgore, 38, was accused of having sex with a player on the NorCal SparX over a four-year period, beginning when she was 12.
The former player, now 19, said she willingly participated.
A Placer County Superior Court jury could reach just one verdict, finding Kilgore not guilty of lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor. Jurors split on most of the other counts.
Kilgore was an assistant coach with the highly ranked amateur team.
