Garda World to buy ATI for $341 million

Garda World Security Corp. said it would buy ATI Systems International for 395 million Canadian dollars ($341 million) from the Irvin family of L.A., making Garda the No. 2 cash-handling firm in North America.

Montreal-based Garda expects the acquisition to bring its annual revenue to more than 1.4 billion Canadian dollars, making it the world’s fifth-largest integrated physical security and cash-handling services company. Garda said ATI had 7,000 employees in 35 states.
