* Oakland 6, at San Francisco 0: Dan Haren (7-2) -- who had 1-2-3 innings in the first, third and fifth -- lowered his major league-leading earned-run average from 1.70 to 1.58. He struck out six in seven innings and didn’t walk a batter for the fourth time this season.
* Philadelphia 4, at Kansas City 0: Jon Lieber struck out 11 and pitched a three-hitter. After yielding a single to leadoff batter David DeJesus, he struck out the next six batters while retiring 11 in a row.
* at Detroit 8, New York Mets 7: Jeremy Bonderman (6-0) gave up eight hits and six runs -- five earned -- while striking out four in six-plus innings. After five consecutive no-decisions, he has won his last six starts.
* Houston 3, at Chicago White Sox 2: Lance Berkman singled home Adam Everett in the top of the ninth. The Astros have their first two-game winning streak since taking four in a row from May 12-16.
* Tampa Bay 7, at Florida 2: James Shields (6-0) yielded six hits and struck out nine in seven innings to win his third straight start. Tampa Bay catcher Dioner Navarro was back with the team and in uniform, one day after being hit in the throat by an errant pitch and taken to a hospital.
* Colorado 3, at Baltimore 2 (10 innings): Kazuo Matsui doubled in the tiebreaking run with two out in the 10th. Chris Iannetta singled with one out and was sacrificed to second. Matsui then lined an opposite-field double to left.
* Cleveland 8, at Cincinnati 6 (11 innings): David Dellucci hit a two-run homer in the eighth to erase a 6-4 deficit, and Travis Hafner and Victor Martinez drove in runs in the 11th.
* Washington 3, at Minnesota 1: Levale Speigner, a former Twins farmhand who had a 14.44 ERA in his four previous starts, gave up only two hits, including Justin Morneau’s homer, in six innings.
* at Atlanta 9, Chicago Cubs 5: In the only National League game, Peter Moylan pitched three hitless innings in relief of injured starter Tim Hudson, and the Braves ended a four-game losing streak. Hudson limped off the field in the third inning after he was hit on his left leg by Jacque Jones’ sharply hit grounder. X-rays were negative.
* Seattle 6, at San Diego 5: Richie Sexson tied the score with a leadoff homer in the eighth inning, and Jose Lopez singled in the go-ahead run in the ninth.
* at Texas 4, Milwaukee 3: Michael Young singled home the winning run against former Rangers closer Francisco Cordero with two out in the ninth inning.
* Boston 4, at Arizona 3 (10 innings): Mike Lowell’s pinch-hit sacrifice fly scored David Ortiz in the 10th.
* at New York Yankees 9, Pittsburgh 3: Roger Clemens, making his season debut for the Yankees, struck out seven in six innings and retired his final seven batters.
* Angels 9, at St. Louis 3: Pitcher Ervin Santana started a four-run fourth inning with a two-run double.
* Toronto 1, at Dodgers 0: Matt Stairs hit a two-out homer into the pavilion seats in right-center in the sixth inning.
