Rowling tour to hit Hollywood
J.K. Rowling, author of the “Harry Potter” books, will be coming to the United States in October for a book reading tour, including appearances in Hollywood, New York and New Orleans.
During “The J.K. Rowling Open Book Tour,” which will be limited to schoolchildren, the author will meet with her fans; read from “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” the last in the series (due out next month); and also sign books, according to Scholastic, the publisher.
Rowling’s dates include an Oct. 15 appearance at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. In September, Scholastic will select schools that can send children to the events; students will be chosen by drawing names from “Sorting Hats” placed in each school.
