Update -- Both teams are coming off close games Friday in which they staged second-half rallies, but the games resulted in opposite outcomes. The third-place Sparks toppled Sacramento, the first-place team in the Western Conference, in double overtime, 96-88. The fifth-place Storm fell, 78-76, at Minnesota. Lauren Jackson ranks second in the WNBA in scoring average at 21.3 points a game. Sue Bird is tied for third in the league, with Sparks guard Marta Fernandez, in assists at 4.6 a game. Fernandez has played well lately, averaging 15.5 points in the last two games. She ranks first among rookies in the league in assists, steals, field-goal percentage and minutes played. The Sparks might be without center Christi Thomas, who suffered a left-ankle sprain against Sacramento and is listed as questionable.
