Soccer star pads his resume in new Adidas ad

Futbol will meet football in a new Adidas advertising campaign that starts today as the athletic shoe and apparel giant begins to leverage its sponsorship relationship with David Beckham, the soccer star who will join the Galaxy next month.

The campaign that builds upon the “Impossible is Nothing” tagline that Adidas unveiled a few years ago will pair Beckham, who has been playing for Real Madrid and the English national team, with Reggie Bush, the New Orleans Saints running back and former USC star.

Adidas is betting that Beckham’s arrival in the MLS will help it to grow its 50% share of the U.S. market for soccer apparel and footwear.
