2 sought after man shot outside supermarket
A gunman armed with a semiautomatic weapon shot and wounded a man Tuesday afternoon outside a Ralphs supermarket, authorities said.
The victim was shot in the leg, said Officer Karen Smith of the Los Angeles Police Department.
It appears that the victim and the suspect have “a relationship, but we don’t know yet what that could be,” Smith said.
The suspect was described as in his early to mid-20s and was accompanied by another man.
The pair fled east on Ventura Boulevard in separate vehicles, Smith said. One was described as a black Mercedes-Benz and the other as possibly a red BMW, she said.
The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.
