It’s nothing, really
RE the review of Tim McGraw’s new album, “Let It Go” [“Fresh and the Followers,” by Randy Lewis, March 27]: The line in Tim McGraw’s song “Last Dollar (Fly Away),” “Since I ain’t got nothin’ / I ain’t got nothin’ to lose” is indeed close to Kris Kristofferson’s “Bobby McGee” line, “Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose / Nothing ain’t worth nothing but it’s free.”
But it’s even closer to an earlier Dylan lyric from “Like a Rolling Stone”: “When you ain’t got nothing, you got nothing to lose.”
