Car hits Anaheim light pole; girl dies, 5 hurt
A girl was killed Saturday after being ejected from a sport utility vehicle in which she and five other teenagers were riding as it crashed into a concrete light pole in Anaheim, a police spokesman said. Her name and age were not immediately released.
The other passengers were taken to hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening, said Anaheim Police Sgt. Rick Martinez.
Martinez said the teens were in a Toyota 4Runner westbound on La Palma Avenue when it veered to the right and struck the pole. The vehicle rolled over and the victim was ejected.
