A self-proclaimed white supremacist who was convicted of murdering a 7-Eleven clerk during an attempted robbery was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Spencer William Fox, 24, of Irvine and co-defendant Travis Justin Frazier, 25, of Tustin were found guilty of murdering Shuresh Dass, who was working at the Irvine convenience store on March 2, 2004. Fox and Frazier, dressed in black and wearing masks, bludgeoned Dass using a heavy metal flashlight and stabbed him in the heart with a hunting knife.

The defendants fled the scene, but the murder was captured by a store surveillance camera. Frazier, who also could face life without the possibility of parole, will be sentenced in May.
