Teens accused of aiding jail escape
Two teenagers suspected of helping a 17-year-old murder suspect escape from a San Mateo County juvenile detention facility will be arraigned Tuesday.
Detectives say Martin Villa Patino and Vanher Cho helped push Josue Raul Orozco atop a 10-foot security wall surrounding an exercise area on Thursday night. Orozco then escaped through a hole cut in a chain-link fence.
The escape went unnoticed by two probation officers who monitor the facility’s more than 100 security cameras. Officials believe Orozco had hours to run before an arrest warrant was issued.
Authorities believe Orozco may be on his way to Mexico.
