Jessica Tandy and Morgan Freeman immortalized the roles of Miss Daisy and Hoke in the 1989 Academy Award-winning film “Driving Miss Daisy.” But before the Oscars (it won four, including best picture), “Daisy” was an Alfred Uhry-scribed play that won the Pulitzer Prize. Now the work, which details the friendship between an elderly Jewish widow and her African American chauffeur during the civil rights era in the South, returns to the stage for a run at La Mirada Theatre.
