* Philadelphia 4, at Washington 0: Cole Hamels (12-8) gave up five hits in 7 1/3 innings, Jimmy Rollins drove in two runs and the Phillies ended the Nationals’ winning streak at seven games.
* Atlanta 16, at Florida 14: Pinch-hitter Ruben Gotay had a run-scoring double in the ninth inning and the Braves spoiled a seven-run Marlins rally.
* Pittsburgh 3, at Cincinnati 2: Rookies Brandon Moss and Andy LaRoche hit consecutive home runs to help the Pirates end their losing streak at 10 games.
* Houston 9, at Chicago 7 (11 innings): Geoff Blum hit a two-run home run against Kerry Wood in the 11th inning and the Astros won their seventh game in a row.
* at Colorado 6, San Francisco 5 (12 innings): Ryan Spilborghs singled home Omar Quintanilla with one out in the 12th inning to lift the Rockies.
* St. Louis 8, at Arizona 2: Adam Wainwright (8-3) helped himself by doubling in two runs and Troy Glaus hit one of the Cardinals’ three home runs.
* at Dodgers 8, San Diego 4: Manny Ramirez hit a home run and drove in three runs, and Andre Ethier had three hits, including a home run.
