No taxes to help big, poor families

The Times continues to write sympathetic stories about immigrants with large families trying to realize the American dream (“Laboring harder, slipping behind,” Consumer Confidential, Aug. 31).

It is unfair to have middle-class taxpayers provide social services and financial assistance to low-income families that continue to have children without regard to financial responsibility.
